If you are thinking about certain ways you can help your employees, then you might be considering how you can add perks that actually affect their lives in a positive way. There are a number of different options that you can share with your workers in order to make their experience with your company better—but it might mean that you have to be a bit creative when it comes to what you offer.
Here are 4 types of corporate perks that can add a lot of value while also creating better relationships with your employees.
1. Remote work
Now more than ever, companies are starting to see the benefits of remote work for both their business operations and for the positive impact it has on their careers. This can be especially true if your workers have been paying for daycare or would like to have more time with their children throughout the day. While this type of environment doesn’t work for everyone, it does offer a solution to teams that work independently and who would like to have a great work/life balance.
2. Health care stipend
Even good health insurance doesn’t always cover employees’ needs, and offering them some additional help with medical expenses can be especially beneficial. Because health care costs can run so high, an added fund can help them to visit a therapist, purchase eyewear, or more. By providing some additional help when it comes to health care, you are showing them that you care about them and having them show up happy and healthy to work every day.
3. Cell phone discounts
We use our phones for almost everything nowadays, and phone bills can add up over time. If your employees are using their phones on a regular basis to take calls, answer emails, and more, then it might be worth it to see if you can talk to a cell phone provider and see if you can strike a deal when it comes to offering workers a lower bill. Since your employees might be in touch with clients and doing work on their own devices, it can go a long way toward showing them that you recognize that they are contributing to your company through offering them a break.
4. Volunteer time off
All of us like to feel we are helping others, and offering time off for your employees to help others is a value that most companies should adopt. You might choose to have a group volunteer session once a month, or you might also want to think about offering time for each individual so that they can work with a cause that they feel passionate about. This can show that you also care about your employees outside of work, as well.
In summary
There are many different ways that you can reach out and show that you care to your employees. Offering them benefits that cater to their needs in one of the best ways to do so.
